A safe and completely touchless way to access car parks is no longer an option: for operators and parking owners, it is a given, and for drivers a reasonable expectation.
Safety is the first and foremost improvement for customer experience. For brand new car parks and for the evolution of traditional ones alike, the digital (and good looking) alternative to “old” buttons is Jupiter range, with touchless sensors embedded on the peripherals. So smooth a driver would hardly notice they are different from pre-covid stations!
HUB’s Jupiter stations are equipped with touchless sensors that work for ticket issuing and touchless sensors for intercom calls.
The upgrade of the stations has been designed to be straightforward to users, thanks to clear icons and guidance LEDs that indicate where they need to interact.
For ticket issuing, the just-wave area of the station is activated when the driver’s hand is 5 cm or closer, avoiding incidental readings.
For assistance calls, the intercom sensor works the same way, just triggering a different action.
The risk of initiating other actions such as reading a proximity card (eg. an employee’s badge) is zero: the badge reader is 25 cm below the ticket issuing sensor, so reading the badge is straightforward action, without triggering the ticket sensor.
Easy and user-friendly: parking should never be a stress!
