For the fourth year in a row, FAAC Technologies participated in the 18th Race for the Cure in Bologna, Italy. The company supported with a contribution and formed a colorful team of colleagues from HUB Parking, FAAC Simply Automatic, and FAAC Technologies.
Race for the Cure, for 25 years now, has been the main event organized by Komen Italia. It is the most important initiative dedicated to the research fighting against breast cancer and the promotion of women's health, both in Italy and worldwide.
Through this initiative, more than 1,500 new prevention, research and support projects for women affected by breast cancer were launched throughout Italy.
And, thanks to the funds raised Komen Italy will implement:
- activities to support women who are facing breast cancer
- free prevention visits
- collaboration with local associations
In Bologna, the funds raised have enabled the implementation of multiple activities of the "Women at the Center", a multi-purpose space where informational meetings, in-depth discussions and pathways are held to support both patients and families.
